Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Affluent-One platform — the Affluent-One customer mobile application, the Affluent-One Provider mobile application, our website and all related products, features and services (together, the “Platform”). The Platform is owned and operated by AffluentPay Technologies Private Limited (CIN U62099KA2025PTC203698), referred to in these Terms as “AffluentPay Technologies”, “we”, “us” or “our”. Affluent-One is the consumer product brand operated by AffluentPay Technologies.
By creating an account, accessing or using the Platform in any manner, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic records in various statutes. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signature.
1. Acceptance & eligibility
Your acceptance of these Terms is required to use the Platform. You accept these Terms by creating an account, completing the one-time-password (OTP) verification, placing or accepting a booking, or otherwise using any part of the Platform. Your continued use after any update to these Terms also constitutes acceptance.
To use the Platform, you represent and warrant that you:
- are at least 18 years of age and competent to enter into a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872;
- are accessing the Platform from within India, as the services are offered only in India;
- are not a person barred from receiving or providing services under the laws of India or any other applicable jurisdiction; and
- will provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated at all times.
If you accept these Terms on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, in which case “you” refers to that entity.
2. Definitions
In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:
- Platform
- The Affluent-One customer app, the Affluent-One Provider app, our website and all related services operated by AffluentPay Technologies.
- Customer
- A registered user who discovers, books and pays for home services through the Platform for their own use or for premises they control.
- Service Professional (or “Provider”)
- An independent individual or business that has onboarded onto the Platform, completed KYC verification, and offers to perform home services for Customers. Service Professionals are not employees, agents or representatives of AffluentPay Technologies.
- Booking
- A request placed by a Customer for a specific service, at a chosen date/time slot and service address, which is matched to a Service Professional and progresses through statuses (such as requested, accepted, in-progress, completed or cancelled).
- Services
- Home services made available through the Platform, including (without limitation) home cleaning and deep cleaning, plumbing, electrician work, gardening and landscaping, pest control, AC service and repair, appliance repair, painting, carpentry, salon-at-home, and home security installation.
- SwitchPay
- Our third-party payments and KYC partner used to collect payments, verify Service Professionals and disburse payouts.
- Content
- Any text, photos, ratings, reviews, profile details or other material submitted to or made available through the Platform.
3. Scope & nature of the Platform
AffluentPay Technologies operates Affluent-One as a technology platform and intermediary that connects Customers seeking home services with independent Service Professionals in India. The Platform facilitates discovery, matching, scheduling, payment collection, payouts and after-service support.
The actual services are performed solely by the independent Service Professionals. AffluentPay Technologies does not itself provide any home service, does not employ the Service Professionals, and does not control or direct the manner in which a Service Professional performs a job. AffluentPay Technologies acts as an “intermediary” within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Nothing in these Terms creates any employment, agency, partnership, franchise or joint-venture relationship between AffluentPay Technologies and any Customer or Service Professional. Verification measures (including KYC) are intended to improve trust and safety but are not a guarantee of any person’s identity, conduct, skill or the outcome of any service.
4. Accounts & OTP login
- Accounts are created and accessed using OTP-based mobile login. We do not use passwords. A one-time password is sent to your registered mobile number to verify each sign-in.
- You are responsible for keeping your registered mobile number and device secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
- You must provide accurate and current information at sign-up and keep your profile, contact details and (for Service Professionals) payout details up to date.
- One mobile number is associated with one account. You may not create accounts by automated means or impersonate any person.
- We may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, or that pose a risk to the Platform, our personnel or other users.
5. Bookings, pricing & taxes
5.1 Placing a booking
As a Customer, you browse service categories, select a service, choose an available date and time slot, specify a service address within our serviceable area, and confirm the booking. A booking is a request that is matched to an available Service Professional; confirmation, scheduling and status updates are communicated through the app, SMS (via our messaging partner) and/or email.
5.2 Pricing & GST
- Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) on an upfront, all-inclusive basis before you confirm a booking, except where the work requires an on-site assessment or additional materials, in which case any variation will be communicated and require your approval.
- Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is charged and remitted as required by law and reflected in your invoice or receipt.
- AffluentPay Technologies charges a platform fee and/or commission on bookings, as disclosed at the time of booking or in the applicable Service Professional terms.
5.3 Booking statuses
Bookings progress through stages (for example: requested, accepted, in-progress, completed and cancelled), each visible to you within the app. A booking is treated as completed once the Service Professional marks the work done and, where applicable, you confirm completion.
6. Payments, payouts & SwitchPay
- Customer payments are collected online through our payments partner SwitchPay, using the payment methods offered in the app. Payments are processed in accordance with applicable Indian payment regulations. AffluentPay Technologies does not store full card or bank credentials on its own servers.
- Provider payouts — the Service Professional’s earnings net of commission, platform fees and applicable deductions — are disbursed to the professional’s verified bank account via SwitchPay, subject to successful job completion and any applicable holding or clearing periods.
- Tax invoices and receipts are issued in accordance with law. AffluentPay Technologies charges and remits GST as required; Service Professionals remain responsible for their own tax compliance on the services they render.
- Refunds, where applicable, are processed to the original payment method and are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Cancellations & rescheduling
Customers may cancel or reschedule a booking through the app, subject to the timing windows, cancellation fees and refund rules set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Cancellation fees may apply where a booking is cancelled after a Service Professional has been assigned or has begun travelling to the location.
AffluentPay Technologies or a Service Professional may also cancel a booking in limited circumstances — for example, where the service location is unsafe or inaccessible, the requested work is outside the scope booked, or for reasons of health, safety or legal compliance. Eligible refunds in such cases are handled per the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Customer obligations
As a Customer, you agree to:
- provide a complete, accurate description of the work required and the service address;
- ensure safe, lawful and timely access to the service location for the Service Professional, and a reasonable working environment;
- be present (or arrange for an authorised adult to be present) during the service where required;
- treat the Service Professional with respect and not subject them to harassment or unsafe conditions;
- pay the amounts due for confirmed bookings through the Platform; and
- not solicit or arrange to transact with a Service Professional outside the Platform.
9. Service professional obligations
As a Service Professional, you agree to:
- complete and maintain valid KYC verification before accepting jobs (see Section 10);
- provide accurate profile, skill, service-area and payout details (bank account, IFSC and PAN);
- perform services professionally, safely, lawfully and in line with the accepted booking and agreed scope;
- hold and maintain all licences, qualifications, registrations and insurance required for the services you offer;
- upload truthful job photos and status updates, and not falsify completion;
- not solicit Customers to transact off-Platform or circumvent fees; and
- comply with your own tax obligations, including GST where applicable.
Service Professionals operate as independent contractors and are solely responsible for the manner, means and quality of the services they perform.
10. Professional onboarding & KYC
Before a Service Professional can accept jobs, they must complete onboarding and KYC verification, which may include an identity selfie, government identity/address documents, and verification of bank account, PAN and Aadhaar details via SwitchPay. Approval is at AffluentPay Technologies’s discretion and may be withheld, paused or revoked where verification cannot be completed, documents appear invalid, or risk or compliance concerns arise.
Service Professionals must promptly update AffluentPay Technologies if any KYC information changes or any licence or registration lapses. Providing false or misleading KYC information is a material breach of these Terms.
11. Ratings, reviews & user content
- Customers may rate (1–5 stars) and review completed bookings. Reviews and other Content must be genuine, lawful, and must not be defamatory, abusive, obscene, misleading or infringing of any third party’s rights.
- You retain ownership of the Content you submit, but grant AffluentPay Technologies a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display and use that Content as needed to operate, promote and improve the Platform.
- We may, but are not obliged to, review, moderate, remove or disable access to Content that violates these Terms or the law, including under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
- Either party may raise a complaint through the app. We may facilitate or mediate but are not obligated to resolve disputes between Customers and Service Professionals.
12. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to:
- use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, infringing or harmful purpose;
- misrepresent your identity, age, qualifications, licences or the services you offer;
- harass, threaten, defraud or harm other users, Service Professionals or our personnel;
- interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its systems or data;
- introduce malware, viruses or any code designed to disrupt or damage the Platform;
- circumvent platform fees, manipulate ratings, or transact off-Platform to avoid the Platform; or
- upload or share content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
We may remove or disable access to non-compliant content and suspend or terminate accounts in accordance with applicable law.
13. Intellectual property
The Affluent-One name, logos, brand elements, app software, designs, text, graphics and all related intellectual property are owned by AffluentPay Technologies or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Except for the limited right to use the Platform under these Terms, no licence or right is granted to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease or create derivative works from any part of the Platform, or use our trademarks, without our prior written permission.
14. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. As an intermediary, AffluentPay Technologies does not perform the services and does not warrant the quality, timing, safety, suitability or outcome of any service performed by a Service Professional. KYC verification improves trust but is not a guarantee of any provider’s conduct or competence.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AffluentPay Technologies and its affiliates, directors, officers and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform or the services performed by Service Professionals.
Where liability cannot be excluded under law, the aggregate liability of AffluentPay Technologies arising out of or in connection with any booking shall not exceed the total platform fees actually received by AffluentPay Technologies from you for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have that cannot be waived under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other mandatory law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless AffluentPay Technologies and its affiliates, directors, officers and employees from and against any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms or any incorporated policy; (b) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right; (c) any Content you submit; and (d) for Service Professionals, the services you perform through the Platform.
16. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or illegality, to comply with legal requirements, or to protect the Platform, its users or our personnel. You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time, subject to records we are required to retain for legal, tax, accounting or compliance purposes. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
17. Dispute resolution & arbitration
In the event of any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably by raising it with our Grievance Officer (see Section 20) and engaging in good-faith discussions for a period of at least thirty (30) days.
If the dispute is not resolved within that period, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by AffluentPay Technologies, the seat and venue of arbitration shall be Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on the parties. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking urgent interim or injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction, and does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights.
18. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the dispute-resolution and arbitration provisions above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any consumer-protection rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, the law, or our business practices. Material changes will be notified within the app or by other reasonable means, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
20. Grievance redressal & contact
For any grievance, question or complaint regarding these Terms, your account, or content on the Platform, you may contact our Grievance Officer, appointed in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and to resolve them within 15 days of receipt.
